This Consultant is now a Father!!

Screen Shot 2013-12-07 at 8.42.47 AMI haven’t blogged much over the last three months for good reason: I’m now a very happy father of two (yes, two!) boys. Our little one’s arrived early in September and I took a break from my consulting practice to be home with my wife and babies. I love being a dad! With support from both of our parents, friends and our larger community, we’re making the transition to parenthood and family. After multiple sleepless nights and a few weeks of nonstop, loud crying, we’re getting into a beautiful rhythm

LA (Neighborhood Land Trust Retreat) Story

LA County Active Transportation Coalition Retreat

Trevor Project Advance

Screen Shot 2013-07-13 at 8.24.23 AMI recently facilitated an incredible two-day Advance (another name for a retreat) for the Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and
suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. As an organization, Trevor Project has grown dramatically in the last few years of its 15 year history and now has 40+ staff working from Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C. Continue reading

Collaborative Panorama: Little Green Fingers Retreat

I recently facilitated a retreat for my 100th client, the Little Green Fingers program. What’s especially exciting for me is that this client, like many of my recent clients, is a collaboration of multiple organizations working together to affect change in Southern California. They are partnering to design, build and engage the community around the development of eight new community gardens designed for children under five years old. Continue reading
